Does the i4 work with the iPhone 4S?
Yes, the i4 works with both the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S.
Can I leave my i4 powered on even after my iPhone has been fully charged?
Yes, but we recommend you turn on your i4 only when you need to charge your iPhone. Once your iPhone is fully charged, turn off the i4. There are two reasons for this: like any electronic device, the i4 does use a bit of power while it is turned on, even if it is not charging your iPhone. Also, the iPhone uses additional power to be on a constant charge.
How do I recharge my i4?
Connect the i4 to a power source using the USB cable that came with your i4. The USB cable can be plugged into a computer or into a standard AC outlet via a USB power adapter that was made to work with iPhone. You can either charge the i4 with the iPhone inserted or charge them separately. If you charge the i4 while your iPhone is inserted, both the i4 and the iPhone will be recharged.
Can I recharge my iPhone while it is in the i4 case?
Yes. The i4 was engineered so that you can recharge your iPhone while it is inside the i4 case. In this situation, both the i4 and the iPhone will be recharged.
Can I recharge my iPhone in the case using the Dock Connector to USB Cable that came with my iPhone?
No. You cannot plug the 30-pin Dock Connector to USB Cable into the i4 or the i4 dock. However, you can still recharge and sync your iPhone while it is inside the i4 case using the supplied USB cable. You can recharge using the i4 Charge/Sync Dock, or by connecting the USB cable directly to the i4 case itself.
Can I sync my iPhone while it's connected to the i4?
You, you can sync your iPhone to iTunes without removing it from the i4. Both the your iPhone and i4 will also be charged while you sync.
Can I recharge the i4 in my car?
Yes, you can use an in car charger to recharge your i4. Just make sure the in car charger you use is Apple certified. Also, as with other charging methods, you do not need to remove your iPhone from the i4. Both will be recharged at the same time..
Can I leave my i4 in the dock or connected to a power source even after it's fully charged?
Yes, leaving your fully-charged i4 connected to a power source will not harm the i4 or the connected iPhone. The i4 is equipped with intelligent circuitry that prevents overcharging and overheating.
How many times can you recharge the i4 case?
The i4 is rechargeable for well over 500 FULL cycles. Partially recharging your i4 or iPhone does not reduce the total number of full cycles, so don't be afraid to top up your i4/iPhone. After 500 cycles the i4's capacity will be about 75% of the capacity when it was new.
Does the i4 block the speaker, microphone or video camera?
No. Unobstructed access to all of your iPhone's controls, ports, inputs and outputs are retained.
Does the i4 interfere with antenna reception?
No.
Will the i4 block the camera on the back of the iPhone?
No.

I personally stand behind this company. i bought a device and had a few issues and one of the guys in customer service bent over backwards to ensure that all my issues were fixed. in this day and age it is really hard to find people that are not out to just make a dollar. i was able to have my equipment replaced and they were more than reasonable of the replacement cost since it was my own fault.

So usually I don't take the time to write reviews. It's funny because I read other's reviews when I buy product. But it just seems to be something I never get around to, until now. I was stuck yet again at the airport the other day. My iPhone's battery was running low. Without thinking, I activated the Spyder battery case and watched as my iPhone charged up. Relief. It was then I realized I had owned my Spyder i4 battery case for five months now...and my iPhone has not been out of the Spyder case since the day I bought it. There are few items that I've purchased in my life, other than my car or my iPhone, that I've become so dependent upon as this battery case. So I promised myself I would finally write a review to say thank you to Spyder for making such a great product. Keep this up and you've got a customer for life.

Makes my iPhone 4S perfect!

I've had the PowerShadow battery case and charging dock since May 2012 and it has made my iPhone 4S perfect. What good is it to be able to watch videos, check email, surf the net and play games if your battery is dead? This case keeps that from happening. It more than doubles my iPhone battery life and the charging cradle charges my phone and the case at the same time - without having to plug a cord into my phone! The case is sturdy and protective. I've had no problems with it coming apart. In fact, I'm so delighted with it that I have already purchased another one as a gift to a relative. Highly recommended.

As you know, keeping your iPhone powered while on the go is not the easiest thing to do. This case has allowed me to keep the charger in the bag and not be on the look out for an electrical outlet as much. It provides me with more than a sufficient amount of power while on the go without adding too much bulk on my iPhone. I definitely recommend this to anyone who uses their phone and requires at least more than one charging session per day.

Once the Swedish customs decided that the goods were cleared we finally received our products.
Three of us, all touring in Europe found the i4 online and had to try it. Beeing on the road means that the phone always run dry when we progress towards show-time. The decision is normally quite easy, charge it where possible and go back to work. 45-60 minutes later un-plug it and check all the calls you've missed.
Tried the i4 for 6 days now (3 on the road) and it works like magic. Re-charging the phone in your pocket, saving time and trouble. In fact, charging it twice in one day also works. Perfect.
